Forty students of Juan Sumulong High School showed signs of possible foof poisoning after eating macapuno candies they acquired from their school in Quezon City.

According to news reports, the students have been experiencing dizziness, vomiting and stomach pain after they consumed the macapuno sweets.

As of the moment, Quirino Memorial Medical Center houses eight students.

The said candies were free candies which came from a manufacturing company in Calauan, Laguna. The macapuno sweets were distributed to the students as samples.
